The Bump

After many, many requests, here's the first photo of the baby bump.

I found one of my baby dolls and decided to "practice" giving it attention in front of the dogs. Baker is intrigued and doesn't really mind. Ruby, on the other hand, wants no part of it! Poor Ruby!

Jumping Jacks

Today, we went in to hear the heartbeat and got an even better gift! The doctor's visit started out with the nurse using the "wand thingy" to hear the heartbeat. But after a few minutes of trying, she couldn't pick anything up (and instant panic set in). Therefore, Dr. Anding wanted to do another ultrasound to make sure everything was a-okay. So check it out...

Turns out that Baby Mitchell is 6.5 centimeters long (about 2.5 inches) and is right on growth schedule. He was just too active for us to hear his heartbeat. And no, we don't know the sex...we just refer to the baby as "he." My next appointment is March 26 and I'll have a super ultrasound where we will be able to see all the organs and the spine! And we get a CD of it (for the low price of $16)!

Ben took a few photos of the artwork in Dr. Anding's office. I think it's hilarious! They are all plants that look like vaginas! We giggle like kindergarteners every time we visit!

Tight fittin' jeans

Okay, my jeans are now a little too tight and I've been in my yoga pants for the last few days! How sad! I've gained close to 10 pounds in the last few months (but I also had recently lost a good bit of weight). How on earth am I suppose to gain just 15-20 pounds over the next 6 months? I'm going to be the size of a barn! I started prenatal yoga this weekend and learned some great exercises that involve "taking the elevator up 4 floors and back down." Ladies, you'll probably know what I'm talking about!

We picked out paint for the nursery and Ben is dying to start on it! I just think he likes using the power roller. Paint is as far as we've gotten. This whole not-knowing-the-sex idea is really going to be hard in terms of decorating!

We see the doctor again on February 27 and hopefully he will take me off the hormones! He's already taken me out of "high risk" status!

We won't have much to write as far as baby health updates, but I'll try to post any new escapades!

Go Giants!
