Smelly

One of our baby class instructors told us that baby poop doesn't stink until they start eating solid foods....WRONG! Quinn can fill a room with the best of them!

Getting Bigger!

We visited Dr. Suell today and got terrific news...
Quinn weighs 9.4 pounds! That's up 2.5 pounds in 2 weeks! Hurray!
Now we can back off of the strict feeding schedule and let him eat as he pleases!
Whew! By the way, Dr. Suell's dad, Doug Suell, Sr., played football for Auburn
in the late 60s. So we talk LOTS of Auburn football during our visits!

A Month Gone By

Quinn is 4 weeks old today! I can't believe it! Sometimes it seems like he's been here forever and sometimes it seems like I just gave birth to him! I think he's going through a growth spurt as he eats ALL the time...sometimes just an hour after a feeding! And he's been in a fussy mood for the last 3 days. I am praying this isn't what parents call turning into a "colicky" baby!

Uh, oh....he's waking up! Dang it, I haven't eaten lunch yet! Sorry the posts are so few and far between. And not very interesting. But it's easier for me if I just post photos.

He goes to the doctor tomorrow, so I'll post an update then!

Thank you all for your emails and checking in on us!

Quinn makes this face ALOT.

This is his "food prayer" position. He does this everytime he eats.

Quinn's First Weekend

Action Shot! Mom and Dad getting Amanda through the Big One!

Amanda will probably kill me for posting this one, but I had to brag on how well everybody worked together to get her through the hard parts. Dad did an especially good job of talking her through and "getting her to the other side."

I know she truly appreciated the support!

WHEW!!!

Man, this baby thing is EXHAUSTING! ;)

Quinn is doing great. He has a fantastic appetite and he's been really good about sleeping so far. Of course, I expect all this to wear off in a week or so and then the real challenges begin. But as of now, he's been perfect.

Amanda is doing an amazing job. She may just be the best mother ever. I'm not sure where she gets the patience from, but she's got it in spades, even when she's absolutely exhausted.

And, the grandparents are here doing lots of heavy lifting. Mom is cooking meals and doing house straightening. Dad is here, running errands, cooking on the grill, etc. Both of them are keeping us sane.

Keep everybody on the Gulf Coast in your prayers. I know they'd appreciate them. My Mom and Dad are especially worried about their house and can't get back there to take care of it, so send some extra mojo their way if you can spare it.

War Eagle Everybody!
